Book Builder is a tool for turning material you already own into a book. That means you hand it things you care about — draft chapters, research, client documents, recordings of your own voice. This page says plainly what happens to them.
The controller of your personal data is [LEGAL ENTITY], [ADDRESS]. Questions, requests and complaints: [CONTACT EMAIL].
Your material is shared only with the services needed to run the product, and only for that purpose. It is never sold, and never used to advertise to you.
| Service | What it receives | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic (Claude) | Your sources and book text | Writing, editing and answering questions about your book |
| Google (Gemini) | Image prompts you write | Generating illustrations and covers |
| Stripe | Email and payment details you enter with them | Subscriptions and card processing |
| MailerSend | Your email address | Sending verification codes |
| Hosting & database | Everything above, at rest | Running the service ([HOSTING PROVIDER / REGION]) |
These providers are located in or transfer data to the United States. Such transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision, as applicable.
This site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google when a page opens and Google receives your IP address.
Your uploads and your book are not published, not shared with other users, and not used by us to train AI models. Sending your text to Anthropic and Google is what makes the book get written; it is not a licence for us to do anything else with it.
Your account and its contents are kept for as long as the account exists, because a book is a project you come back to. You can delete any uploaded source file yourself, at any time, from the sources list — the stored file is removed with it. To have your account and everything in it erased, write to [CONTACT EMAIL] and it will be done.
Under the GDPR you may request a copy of your personal data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to processing, and receive it in a portable form. Write to [CONTACT EMAIL]. You also have the right to complain to your supervisory authority — in Sweden, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).
We process your data to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract), to meet legal obligations such as accounting, and — for security logging and abuse prevention — on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service running.
